Establishing the Atomic Material Commission (Egypt, Presidential Decree No. 196, 1977) in English

Presidential Decree No. 196 of 1977 establishes Egypt's Atomic (Nuclear) Material Commission, the body charged with oversight of nuclear materials in the country — part of the institutional architecture Egypt built around its nuclear ambitions in the 1970s. The decree defines the Commission's mandate and place in the state structure.

Together with the other atomic-energy instruments in this collection it documents the legal skeleton of the Egyptian nuclear programme, read today by sector analysts, historians and counterparties of the successor institutions.
