Emiri Decree No. 2 of 1995 establishes the free zone at Sharjah International Airport and creates the Sharjah Airport International Free Zone Authority (SAIF Zone Authority) to administer it. It is the constitutive text of one of the UAE older free zones: the source of the Authority powers, the zone legal identity, and the framework within which SAIF Zone companies are licensed.
