Presidential Resolutions Information
UAE presidential resolutions are instruments issued by the President of the UAE in the exercise of powers conferred by the Constitution and by federal law. They are used to appoint senior federal officials, establish or restructure federal authorities, designate diplomatic envoys, and to make decisions in matters where federal legislation expressly reserves authority to the President. They are distinct from federal decrees, which carry statutory force, and from cabinet resolutions, which are issued by the Council of Ministers.
The translations on this page include resolutions establishing federal authorities and councils, appointing chairs and board members of federal bodies, and ratifying senior judicial and ambassadorial appointments. They are essential reading for tracing the institutional architecture of the federal government and the personnel decisions that shape it. For ordinary federal legislation see UAE laws in English.
